Boracay White Beach
Boracay Island, Philippines is one of the dream destinations of most tourists both local and foreign. The thought of setting foot in a white, powdery-sand island has always been fascinating to most people. Though there are certainly a lot of places all over the world that offers the same kind of sand or sea, but there will always be just one
Boracay. That’s for sure.
The first opportunity of going to Boracay has eluded me some 5 years ago. Well, I would say, that wasn’t probably theperfect time for me to be there as yet.
Until last May when our Realtors Board has fortunately shifted it’s course in holding our VISMIN Conference from Cagayan de Oro City to
Boracay. Yahooo…. So, I thought… What could be more perfect than the time to mix business with pleasure just like the theme of our PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION OF REAL ESTATE BOARD’s VISMIN CONFERENCE. Perfect! And the thought of being with “the one” made the trip not only businessy(if I may coin my own word), but also, romantic, ehemmm…
Unlike what I have been imagining many years back, the trip going to that hidden paradise isn’t an ordeal at all. Probably, this is one of the big reasons why years back, I wasn’t given the chance to go to
Boracay as it would have been more tedious on my part.
Luckily, it only takes a few sec to go to the port from the airport. When you’re on back-pack, you can even walk your way to the Caticlan port from the
Caticlan airport. And just 15-20 minutes by
boat from Caticlan port to Boracay Island.
While on the boat, we were asked to put on our life vest, which was a bit awkward initially, making me feel like there is going to be a bad weather in Boracay. But, later on, I realized it was some kind of an S.O.P. Well, at least if anything beyond normal happens, you can easily float(lol). The trip going to the
Boracay Island was enjoyable as the weather was generally fine, and the island is just like a stone-throw away, it makes you feel safe. Seeing the
island gives you a feeling of awe thinking that you can actually go around easily in an hour or so and marvel at the beauty of
Boracay.
